Hydration
Taking in more water than your body uses up each day. Staying hydrated avoids dehydration, a condition in which the body does not have enough water to carry out normal functions.
Injection
Use of a syringe and needle to push fluids or drugs into the body; often called a "shot."
Malignant
Cancerous; cells that can invade and destroy nearby tissue and spread to other parts of the body.
Melanoma
A highly malignant type of skin cancer that arises in melanocytes, the cells that produce pigment. Melanoma usually begins in a mole.
Side effect
A result of drug or other therapy which is in addition to the desired therapeutic effect.
